My Christmas Vacation

Christmas is a day of gift giving and spreading love with each other. For me, this is one of the special days in my life as a person. Gift giving is very essential for each one of us because it can fill our hearts with love. By giving gifts to each other, you can see in their faces that they're happy. Furthermore, Christmas can make us feel happy and grateful for every moment in our lives. 

 



My Christmas vacation was great and happy. I spent my Christmas vacation with my family and friends. I enjoyed a lot this past Christmas with love and joy. We went to church with my cousins to thank God for giving us blessings and also giving us another day for our lives. Also, my friend and I did caroling at different houses; we enjoyed that much, and we had a lot of money that we caroled for. In addition, we also went to Ilocos Norte to have a trip to different places such as Paoay Church, Robinsons Mall, and Malacañang of the North. 


I'm so grateful that my Christmas vacation was filled with love and joy. I was so thankful that my family and friends were happy on Christmas Day. I hope that next Christmas could be more happy and joyful.

Violence against women (VAW) appears as one of the country's pervasive social problems. According to the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, 17.5% of Filipino women aged 15-49 have experienced any form of physical, sexual, and emotional violence from their intimate partners. As of 2021, there were 8,399 reported cases ases of physical violence, 1,791 on rape, and 1,505 on acts of lasciviousness. It is alarming that despite addressing the concern, VAW persists. VAW is deemed to be closely linked with the unequal power relation between women and men, otherwise known as "gender-based violence." Societal norms and traditions dictate people think that men are the leaders, pursuers, and providers and take on the dominant roles in society.
